The CHESS program will strengthen community engagement in health service delivery in Cameroon by ensuring adequate community participation in the national health response, stronger community involvement in health promotion and improved accountability to Civil Society. The program will be implemented across all ten regions of Cameroon and target key disadvantaged groups. The proposed technical approach is described in more detail below:

The CHESS program will employ community engagement approaches to achieve equity and improve health outcomes through the following results:

(Result 1) Improved community monitoring and surveillance systems.

(Result 2) Strengthened State and civil society interaction to improve access to health services and programs.

(Result 3) Individuals, families, and communities are equipped with knowledge and tools to address health situations.

Eligibility Requirements
Exclusively for Cameroon Local Organization/partners, defined as organizations which are registered or legally organized under the laws of, and have its principal place of operations in Cameroon; is majority owned by citizens or lawful permanent residents of Cameroon; and is managed by a governing body the majority of who are citizens or lawfully permanent residents of Cameroon.
