Additional Info
The statute limits eligibility for this program to RCOs that are domestic private nonprofit entities in states, territories, or tribes. RCOs are independent, non-profit organizations led and governed by representatives of local communities of recovery. To ensure that recovery communities are fully represented, only organizations controlled and managed by members of the addiction recovery community are eligible to apply. Grant recipients that received their initial funding award under the Building Communities of Recovery FOA (TI-19-003) in FY 2019 and 2020 are not eligible to apply.Note: Special consideration for funding will be given to rural applicants, including applicants serving areas with an age-adjusted rate of drug overdose deaths that is above the national average and areas with a shortage of prevention and treatment services.
