Grant Details
Proposed ARRT projects must: recruit and select candidates for advanced research training with targeted plans for recruiting individuals with disabilities; provide a multidisciplinary training program emphasizing scientific methodology; offer research experience with qualified researchers and practical activities with organizations representing individuals with disabilities; ensure academic and career mentorship; facilitate participation in professional presentations and scholarly publications; provide training for at least one academic year unless a longer period is justified; require trainees to devote at least 80% of their time to training activities. Applicants must articulate goals, objectives, expected outcomes, and public benefits of the training activities, ensuring all materials are accessible and compliant with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

Eligibility Requirements
Eligible applicants are institutions of higher education only. There is no cost-sharing or matching requirement, but voluntary contributions of non-federal resources are allowed.
