Summary
This Statement of Work (SOW) is for the EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades project at the Baltimore Veterans Affairs campus, designated as Project No. 512-22-700.
The primary objective of this contract is to engage a contractor to provide all necessary labor, materials, and equipment for the installation of additional IT Tower Additions (TR Towers), new data cabling, fiber optic cabling, and TR equipment essential for deploying the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. The contractor is required to adhere strictly to all relevant specifications and standards set forth by local, national, federal, and VA guidelines. A critical prerequisite before commencing construction is the submission of an Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) plan for approval by the VA Infection Control team.
The SOW outlines specific requirements for the execution of work, including a pre-bid site walk to verify field conditions and the necessity for Requests for Information (RFIs).
All construction activities must occur during standard working hours from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM unless prior approval is obtained from the VA’s Representative for off-hours or weekend work. The project has a defined period of performance, with completion expected within 457 days following the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
Additionally, any changes or requests for information during construction will be reviewed by the Architect/Engineer (A/E) of record, Spees Design Build, LLC, who will provide detailed cost breakdowns and estimates as needed. The contract will remain open until after the station's go-live date to accommodate any additional work that may arise.
