DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE HEADQUARTERS, 673D AIR BASE WING JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, ALASKA 14 January 2020 Industry Day Aerial Target Banner Tow Event: Aerial Target Banner Tow – Industry Day Audience: DoD Members and Contractor/Industry Representatives When: 23-24 Jan 2020 Where: Teleconference Abstract: The 673d Contracting Squadron, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER) is leading an effort to acquire an Aerial Banner Target Towing Service. This effort is being driven by the need to keep the fighter squadrons of JBER and Eielson AFB, mission ready with this specialized service. This requirement requires contractors to own or lease aircraft that have the capability to fulfill the requirement needs of aerial target banner tow. Aircraft must have all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification to include a Design Engineering Representative (DER) certification, if applicable. The Contractor is responsible for all engineering, aircraft modification, flight testing, aircrew training and FAA certification costs. Who Should Attend?: Contractors and industry personnel that are knowledgeable on the practice of aerial target banner towing and believe their aircraft and organization are able to be meet the needs of this requirement. A draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) is attached to this notice for reference. All interested personnel shall email Brittney Behr and SrA Jonathan Garcia no later than (NLT) 21 Jan 2020.
