CBCSE Overview

The Common Battle Command Simulation Equipment (CBCSE) procures and delivers
Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Hardware (HW), Software (SW) and new/delta
equipment training for Army Mission Training Complexes (MTCs), Combat Training
Centers (CTCs), Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) facilities, and other
customer locations worldwide.

CBCSE supplied systems must be capable of running current version(s) of fielded

Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) System of Systems
in support of Army training and future version(s) under development. Viability is
ensured through the Validation Event/Operational Readiness Event (VE/ORE).
CBCSE supports in-house and distributed operations. CBCSE supplies the HW/SW
COTS products for JLCCTC which supports Army Title X training worldwide for Army
Commanders and their staffs in Decisive Action to include offensive, defensive,
stability, and civil support operations.

54 JLCCTC suites are fielded to over 41 sites world-wide to support Commander &

Staff training for the Active Army, National Guard and Reserve Units.

Competing Requirement: DIV & above Suites = 11; BDE & below Suites = 43

Common Hardware Platforms (CHPs) = over 6,500 CHPs.

CBCSE systems, to include COTS SW and HW (Common Hardware Platforms
(CHPs), and standardized server configurations).

- Functionality: Reconfigurable, upgradeable desktop workstations; laptops; and
servers; viable on current/future JLCCTC software versions.

- Interoperability within an Integrated Training Environment to support both Army
and Joint exercises.
