Industry Day Presentation: Base Infrastructure Modernization Industry Day
The Department of the Air Force (DAF) is hosting an industry day focused on base infrastructure modernization, spearheaded by AFLCMC/HNI. The purpose of this effort is to modernize network infrastructure at Air Force base locations worldwide to address their deteriorated state.
Vendors capable of providing wired telecommunications services and data communications equipment relevant to establishing a modern network infrastructure at Air Force bases are encouraged to attend. Industry day goals include fostering synergy between DAF and industry representatives, communicating program requirements, and introducing threshold service level agreements (SLAs). Vendors are requested to limit representatives to three, with at least one possessing technical expertise aligned with industry and DoD policy direction.
Preparations for the industry day involve vendors submitting preliminary questions in advance, which will be addressed during the event. The high-level agenda includes sessions on EITAAS, Organizational Conflict of Interest, Small Business Briefing, Q&A sessions, and an introduction to the base infrastructure modernization effort. Interested parties must sign up by 4:00 pm EST on 18 July 2022 via the provided survey link, with meeting invites set to be sent out on the same day.
