INDUSTRY EXCHANGE / SOURCES SOUGHT
The 42d Contracting Squadron, Maxwell AFB, AL, is holding an industry exchange to seek sources that can provide base wide cable that meets the requirements of the attached Draft Statement of Requirement (SOR) to support the needs of the 42nd Communications Squadron, Maxwell AFB, AL. All feedback and information received may be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy.
NOTES OF IMPORTANCE:
A solicitation does not exist for this requirement. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this industry day/sources sought.
If the Government decides to pursue a solicitation, portions of your responses to this sources sought may be incorporated into the final solicitation. Respondents are discouraged from submitting any information deemed competition-sensitive or proprietary.
Respondents will not be reimbursed for any costs incurred in responding to this sources sought. Information submitted will not be returned to the respective respondents.
Oral submissions of information will not be considered in response to this sources sought.
To assist the Government in developing a potential acquisition strategy, please provide the following information:
GENERAL INFORMATON:

Type of business, (i.e., small, 8a, woman-owned, Hub Zone, serviced-disabled veteran-owned small business, large business, etc.), CAGE Code, and DUNS Number.
Under which NAICS code does your company usually provide the requirements described in the attached draft SOR.
Please describe any customary commercial contract terms or conditions that you feel would make any resulting contract more effective if applicable.
INDUSTRY EXCHANGE PARTICIPATION / RESPONSES: Maxwell Air Force Base intends to host an Industry Exchange to obtain insight from our Industry Partners in regards to the best available solution to support the delivery of cable television. The exchanges will consist of a site visit (if requested) followed by capability briefings either virtually or on site.
Current Operating Environment: The current operating environment consists of cable television service to a population of 7 thousand customers. Cable service is required for military training, education, and entertainment purposes and must be operational 24 hours a day. The physical topology is connected to the demarcation within the communication closets. There are some rooms employing the service providers proprietary media converter connected to the television. The cable signal is currently provided through coaxial cable.
Site Visit - The site visit will allow Industry Partners an opportunity to view the site of buildings to obtain an understanding of our current environment and infrastructure. Site visits will be scheduled upon request. All requests must be submitted prior to 17 June 200 and will be scheduled starting 21 Jun 2022,
Capability Briefing - Capability briefs will be scheduled as requested. All requests must be submitted prior to 17 June 200 and will be scheduled starting 21 Jun 2022. The intent of the briefing is to allow the Government an opportunity to hear from our Industry Partners in regards to the best available solution to providing Maxwell AFB/Gunter Annex cable television. During your capability brief, please address the following:
Is your company capable of meeting this requirement in accordance with the attached DRAFT Statement of Requirements (SOR)? Please respond Yes or No.
If your response to question (a) above was Yes, please provide at least one example of related work your company has performed.
Has your company ever provided cable services on a Department of Defense (DoD) installation or similar (i.e. university campus, large corporation, etc)? If Yes, please provide location, dates of service, and references.
If your response to question (a) was No, but you feel your company would be able to provide cable to the installation in a manner alternative to what is outlined in the SOR, please explain how your company would do so.
Describe the level of infrastructure installation and/or replacement necessary to meet subject requirement.
What type of technology would you employ to Maxwell AFB & Gunter Annex to meet subject requirement?
What is your Proposed Project Milestone plan (anticipated timeline to fully complete subject requirement, to include all infrastructure upgrades) in calendar days?
If your company is interested in participating, schedule a time and date with the point of contacts (POCs) listed below. Presentations will be allotted a maximum one hour time slot and shall address, at a minimum, the capabilities listed above in para. 2.
