Synopsis:
THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY TO ANNOUNCE AN INDUSTRY DAY
FOR W911KB22R0015 AS FOLLOWS:
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, will conduct an Industry Day to improve Industry's
understanding of USACE's Barrow Alaska Coastal Erosion project, specifically for the initial task order
of a SATOC requirements, construction of a 18 to 20 ft above MLLW coastal revetment along the
coastal bluff, later task order(s) along the berm and raised Stevenson St sections, answer questions
on the project and gain an understanding of how the contractor community can support this project.
The goal of this industry day is to:
1) Familiarize the industry with the requirements at Utqiagvik, Alaska.
2) Receive feedback from industry.
The Industry Day presentation will be held on Tuesday, Aug 23, 2022, from 0900 - 1030 Alaska Standard
Time meeting at the Matsutani building 1402 Nachik Street, Utqiagvik. Contractors attending will travel from
there to multiple stops for a site tour, escorted by USACE personnel. A One-on-One consultation with the
GOV will be scheduled for Tuesday (23rd) afternoon (1400 - 1700) and again on Wednesday (24th) morning
(0900-1430) for contractors in attendance.
A SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE RELEASED PRIOR TO THIS INDUSTRY DAY NOR WILL A DRAFT
SOLICITATION BE PRESENTED AT THE EVENT.
Each participant is required to submit the following information in advance of the industry day.
(1) First and Last name.
(2) Company
This information is MANDATORY to attend the meeting. Required information must be emailed to the US
Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, JBER Alaska, attention to Mr. George Nasif, by 15 Aug 2022,
14:00 Alaska Time.

Attendees will be notified prior to industry day if there are site access issues. Attendance at the industry day
is voluntary and is not required to participate in the proposed acquisition. Contractors are required to secure
their own lodging and rental cars for this event.
REQUIREMENT:
Bluff portion
Removal of existing shore protection (super sacks, concrete matting, gabion baskets).
~3/4 Mile of four layer well keyed coastal revetment, with ~2.7-ton armor stone.
Production and transport of rock for later portions to Utqiagvik.
Berm and Raised Stevenson Street portion.
These portions are not fully designed but will be discussed as part of future task orders under the SATOC.
Feedback from the Industry Day participants on the following areas is
requested:
Feedback on construction sequencing and timing.
Feedback on concerns.
Quarry and logistic concerns.
