Request for Information/Industry Day Announcement
The DEFENSE HEALTH AGENCY (DHA) will hold a Virtual Industry Day targeted to Small
Businesses to engage and assess their capabilities and ideas for developing the DHAs Deputy
Assistant Director Information Operations/J-6 (DAD IO/J-6) Geographic Service Provider(s)
(GSPs) Acquisition Strategy requirements. Although the target audience is Small Business, other
than Small Businesses may participate.
The Virtual Industry Day will consist of a general session, followed by one-on-ones with DHA
GSP Program Management Office Officials and the Contracting Officer. Session details are as
follows:
General Session: Monday, September 13, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. EDT
One-on-One Meetings: Tuesday-Thursday, September 14-16, 2021 (as scheduled, based on
availability, not to exceed one 30-minutes session per interested company).
Note: Those companies who responded to the July 29, 2021 Problem Statement will be given
priority for One-On-One scheduling, however interested companies should still reply indicating
interest in participating in this event.
To register for either portion of this event (General Session or a One-On-One Meeting), express
interest, consisting of the GSP Industry Day Fillable Form, by emailing
christopher.d.rieper.civ@mail.mil on or before 12:00 p.m. EDT September 3, 2021.
An response will be sent to you with the virtual meeting invite for the General Session as well as
a separate invitation for the One-on-One virtual meeting, if scheduled.
BACKGROUND:
The Department of Defense (DoD) began a multi-year transition of Military Treatment Facilities
(MTFs) from the military departments to the DHA for the purposes of implementing an
integrated system of readiness and health required by sections 702 and 703 of the FY 2017
National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and updated in sections 711 and 712 of the FY
2019 NDAA. Consistent with NDAA mandates, DHA established the Military Health System
(MHS) Enterprise Information Technology Services (EITS) initiative to provide a framework for
transforming MHS IT from the current decentralized model to centralized management and
coordination with distributed delivery. The MHS EITS strategy includes three major
components: EITS Integrator (EITSI), Capability Service Providers (CSPs), and GSPs (GSPs are
the focus of this Industry Day).

REQUESTED INFORMATION:
Interested companies should fill out the GSP Industry Day Fillable Form and email it to Mr.
Rieper. Companies that responded to the previous GSP Problem Statement do not need to
complete the form and may simply send an email to Mr. Rieper expressing their interest in this
event. Only one request per company will be accepted and alternative formats are not desired.

No proprietary, classified, confidential or sensitive information should be included in your
response. Industry responses will be shared with DHA staff for the purpose of market research.

resultant solicitation(s).
