Industry Day: An industry day for this solicitation will be held on 13 May 2022 at the Materials Characterization
Facility (MCF) Building 655, Area B, 10th and Hobson Way, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433 beginning at
10:00 AM local time. The purpose of the industry day is to open up the MCF Facility for a one-time tour and
familiarize potential offerors with MCF capabilities and the nature of research performed in the facility.
This Industry Day is unclassified and for informational purposes only. NO classified information or technology
may be discussed at this Industry Day. Attendance is not a prerequisite for submitting a proposal. However, it
will provide a valuable opportunity for potential proposers to have questions answered. If you would like to
submit a question prior to Industry Day, please contact the Contracting Officer, Mark Merrifield, at (937) 713-
9878 AND the Contract Negotiator, Brad Kneisly, at (937) 713-9881. Responses to these questions and
questions from Industry Day will be posted to SAM.gov along with the BAA. Participation in the Industry Day is
voluntary and there is no fee to attend.
To qualify to attend the MCF Facility tour, you must be a U.S. Citizen or green card holder. Furthermore, all non-
governmental attendees must have a registered Defense Logistics Service Center (DLSC) certification number,
which is provided on the DD2345 form and provide that number with expiration date to both the Technical and
Contracting Points of Contact. Proposers that anticipate attending the Industry Day must submit an Intent to
Attend e-mail to Sabyasachi (Raj) Ganguli at sabyasachi.ganguli.2@us.af.mil, Phone: (937) 255-1139, Brad

Contracting Officer at mark.merrifield@us.af.mil. The e-mail must contain the name of the contractor, the POC,
the number of people attending (limited to no more than 2 attendees per contractor), each attendees DLSC
certification number with expiration date, and a copy of the contractors valid DD2345. For people who do not
have current access to Wright-Patterson AFB, please contact Sabyasachi (Raj) Ganguli, contact information
above. This effort is ITAR restricted and requires a valid DD2345 for attendance. The Intent to Attend e-mail
must be sent NLT 6 May 2022 3PM Wright-Patterson AFB local time to be able to participate. In addition, at
check-in each attendee needs to provide two items of documentation. The first is proof of citizenship, including:
birth certificate, U.S. Passport, voter registration, green card or a letter from the company security officer stating
that you are a U.S. citizen or green card holder. A drivers license is NOT proof of citizenship. Each attendee
must also provide proof of employment through acceptable documentation including company or government ID
or a signed letter on company letterhead stating that you are an employee. On site registrations will NOT be
accepted.
