The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Kansas City District (NWK), intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB ) solicitation for construction activities for the Manhattan Levee Flood Risk Management (FRM) Project and solicit feedback regarding NWKs acquisition planning for Manhattan, Kansas Levee (FRM) Project. NWK is hosting an Industry Day Webinar on 31 March 2021, at 2:00 P.M. (Central). The purpose of the webinar will be to introduce this project and provide an opportunity for Industry to comment and ask questions in advance of the solicitation. The Manhattan, KS FRM project will include approximately 14,600 feet of levee raises (includes 10,200 feet of levee plus adding 500 feet of levee tie-back extension on the northern end of the project on the Big Blue River and 3,900 feet on the Kansas River), primarily on the Big Blue River. Additionally, the project will include under-seepage control measures including 26 relief wells, and 9,200 linear feet of under-seepage control berms to accommodate the levee raise. Four existing drainage structures will be modified, two will be raised, and one will be replaced. The project will also construct a new drainage structure near station 140+00, to facilitate the citys revised interior drainage plans. The Manhattan, KS FRM project will include numerous utility relocations as well. This announcement is for industry input only. NO PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND NONE WILL BE ACCEPTED WITH THIS NOTICE. Note: Feedback does not restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition or project approach. Also, the Government will not reimburse respondents for any cost incurred in participation of this webinar.
