Industry Day Information: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Kansas City District (NWK) is planning to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) solicitation for construction activities related to the Manhattan Levee Flood Risk Management (FRM) project in Manhattan, Kansas.
An industry day webinar is scheduled for March 31, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. Central Time to introduce the project and allow industry stakeholders to provide feedback and ask questions ahead of the solicitation.
The project involves approximately 14,600 feet of levee raises on the Big Blue River, including under-seepage control measures such as relief wells and under-seepage control berms. Modifications to existing drainage structures and utility relocations are also part of the project scope.
It is emphasized that this announcement is for industry input only, with no proposals being requested or accepted at this stage. Participants are advised that costs incurred in attending the webinar will not be reimbursed.
