S e r v i c e - E x c e l l e n c e As of 11 Apr 12 BPR Phases and Timeline Phase 1 BPR •Conducted DIMHRS Assessment to identify and document where DIMHRS did not meet AF needs •Created Intermediate Activity Model (IAM) as EA requirements super-structure •Wrote System Shall statements and aligned them to Operational Activities in IAM •Affirmed the “to-be” requirements for AF-IPPS Phase 3 BPR •Extending the validated use cases by adding LRP citations, business rules, and information requirements •Creating an integrated personnel and pay common vocabulary that will be used to describe data requirement •Along with Business Process Models and SRD, will be used as baseline for blueprinting effort Phase 4 BPR •Blueprint system design against requirements in the extended use cases, process architecture and information requirements •Leverage LRP alignment and system design to conduct further BPR as needed to minimize customization and better leverage the COTS product •Ensure the system design enables the AF to achieve performance goals Phase 2 BPR •Modeled 105 business process and aligned functional requirements to process steps by creating 204 use cases •Presented AF-IPPS use cases at FRF and 120+ AF Total Force SMEs updated and validated all processes and requirements •Confirmed “to-be” design will meet the Pers/Pay functional mission •Established baseline AF-IPPS requirement in SRD 2010 2011 2012 2013 EA Modeling and Requirements Writing Extended Use Cases Use Cases and Functional Requirements Forum Blueprinting 9 I n t e g r i t y - S e r v i c e - E x c e l l e n c e As of 11 Apr 12 BPR Phase 3: Extended Use Case Development Extended Use Cases (EUCs) add business rules; business terms; and Laws, Regulations and Policies (LRP) citations to Functional Baseline Validated Business Process Models (BPMs) and System Shall Statements are foundation for these additional EUC elements The relationship between elements is hierarchical and traces as follows: BPM Step > System Shall Statement > Business Rule > LRP Citations & Business Terms Information Assets (Reports, Forms, Notifications and Interfaces) will be specified using a common vocabulary of business terms EUCs will enable comprehensive blueprinting Business rules are fully traceable to system shall statements, process steps, and LRPs that drive functional requirements for AF Personnel and Pay Content provide details necessary to execute a thorough Fit-Gap between functional requirements and selected COTS software 10 I n t e g r i t y -
