SUMMARY OF WORK

PART 1 - GENERAL

SCOPE

The Contractor must provide all material, labor, tools, plant, supplies, equipment, transportation,
superintendence, temporary construction of every nature, and all other services and facilities
necessary to complete the construction of a postal facility for the Postal Service, including all
incidental work described in the contract documents.

Project to repair failure of window systems at north wall & N-E & N-W corners of exterior walls,
Level 1 & Level 2. Contractor to perform the following:
Install replacement window storefront on N-E corner. Recommend 1” thermal glazing & 1”
spandrel panels in thermal A1. Frame.
Repair finishes at exterior & interior walls.
Reseal all existing joints & dissimilar material transition joints on storefront & window wall
systems.
Flash & seal roof to wall flashing & Level 3 access panel joints.
Reseal storefront joints, Head/Jamb/Sills.
Reflash storefront to walls, EIFS & metal.
Reseal access panels.
Recoat & seal roof to wall metal panels N., N-W & N-E Corners.
Roof perimeter flashing lap seams need to have open joints resealed. Work will need to
be performed by a Johns Mansfield Certified sub-contractor who will follow all procedures
to not void Warranty.
Reflash all window openings.
Isolate steel vs. aluminum framing to reduce electrolytic corrosion.
Repair EIFS Plaster at open/failed/impact damaged areas.
Remove & replace bumper at base of EIFS N. wall. Use composite panel 1 ½” x 8”
profile.
Reseal EIFS control joints, N. Wall.
Cut-back the tree limbs overhanging the roof and too close to face of wall.
Remove dying tree at Receiving Office end of building.

All work shall be in accordance with applicable codes and local regulations that may apply. In case
of conflict in or between the Contract Documents and a governing code or ordinance, the more
stringent standard shall apply.
