Construction of advanced Compound Semiconductor Laboratory/Microsystem Integration Facility (CSL-MIF) Hanscom Air Force Base, bedford, MA. The project involves constructing a new 162,000 GSF laboratory and office facility, including a clean room complex designed to fed std 209E class 10/ISO class 4 standards, to support the advanced technologies division of mit lincoln laboratory. The facility will consolidate and enhance mit ll's compound semiconductor materials growth, fabrication, and characterization capabilities, as well as specialized advanced electronic prototype fabrication and packaging, and will include sophisticated HVAC, electrical, and utility systems, secure communications areas, hazardous materials handling, and vibration/noise control features. Site improvements include expansion of the main chiller plant, new electrical feeds, access roads, utility relocations, landscaping, and a pedestrian connector bridge to other mit ll buildings.
