Government Description
INSTALL MICROGRID AT FORT LIBERTY, NC. THE WORK INVOLVES CONSTRUCTION OF AN ELECTRIC MICROGRID SYSTEM TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY POWER TO THE JOINT SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND (JSOC) COMPOUND, INCLUDING INSTALLATION OF A MASTER MICROGRID CONTROLLER, DIESEL GENERATION, SWITCHGEAR, TRANSFORMERS, AND AUTOMATIC TRANSFER SWITCHES. THE PROJECT INCLUDES UTILITY UPGRADES FOR SUPPORTED FACILITIES, EROSION CONTROL MEASURES, UTILITY RELOCATIONS, SITE IMPROVEMENT, AND DEMOLITION AS REQUIRED. THE MICROGRID WILL BE CAPABLE OF ISLANDING THE JSOC COMPOUND FROM THE FORT LIBERTY DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM AND SUPPORTING CRITICAL LOADS FOR UP TO 14 DAYS OF CONTINUOUS OPERATION.
