GALVESTON HARBOR CHANNEL, TEXAS PELICAN ISLAND PLACEMENT AREA PLACEMENT AREA IMPROVEMENTS, GALVESTON COUNTY, TX. INCLUDES DEWATERING, DIKE RAISING, AND REPLACEMENT OF THE EXISTING OUTFALL STRUCTURE AT THE PELICAN ISLAND PLACEMENT AREA (PA), AS WELL AS DEWATERING DITCHES TO DRY MATERIAL AND FACILITATE INTERIOR DRAINAGE. ADDITIONAL TASKS INVOLVE CONSTRUCTING AN ACCESS RAMP CULVERT AND PLACING ADDITIONAL FILL, INCLUDING IMPERVIOUS FILL TO DISPLACE SOFT MATERIAL IN THE FOUNDATION AREA.
