Government Description
Super hornet procurement D, Kuwait involves the construction of support facilities for the Kuwait Air Force F-18E/F super hornet program at AL jaber air base. Includes Design-Bid-Build (DBB) construction of Quick Reaction Area (QRA) and Combat Aircraft Loading Area (CALA), related site improvements, demolition of existing pavement, construction of new concrete and asphalt pavement, and incidental related work. QRA parking shelters will house eight aircraft and CALA sunshades will house five aircraft, with reinforced barricades, equipment pads, static grounding points, and tie down locations, all designed as permanent facilities in accordance with Department of Defense (DOD) unified facilities criteria and current kuwaiti and U.S. Building codes, safety, and security standards.
