Government Description
KC46A bed-down construction involves establishing and adapting aviation and maintenance infrastructure for the KC-46 aircraft at a military base in the south of Israel. Includes site development with pavement improvements and the construction of five new structures: i-level hangar, storage parts/supply warehouse, blast deflectors, Aircraft Ground Equipment (AGE) shop, wash rack and run up pad, and fire pump building. Additional tasks comprise installation of airfield access pavement, circulation drives, parking, utilities, grading, drainage, HVAC systems, water, sewage, compressed air systems, and electrical and Building Management Systems (BMS) including fire detection and lightning protection. Three optional structures may also be constructed: maintenance hangar (SOLAR), storage parts/supply warehouse (SOLAR), and Alternative Mission Equipment (AME) storage.
