Reinforced concrete floodwall. Includes demolition of the existing concrete floodwall, roadway, sidewalks, and storm drainage utilities, and construction of approximately 3,000 linear feet of new inverted t-type continuous concrete floodwall (T-WALL) in caruthersville, Missouri, along the Mississippi river. Additional tasks include building an over-the-levee access ramp using borrow material, installing steel sheet piling, storm drainage utilities, permanent sidewalks, seven gated openings (including a pedestrian access for the casino), steel swing gates, temporary flood protection, structural excavation and backfill, and other incidental work. The project also involves straightening the floodwall alignment, closing the carleton avenue opening, and replacing the existing floodwall in its footprint, with tie-in points to the surrounding levee.
