Overview
Government Description
Construction of GBSD integrated command center, F. E. Warren AFB. The project involves renovating an approximately 60,000 square foot facility to support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) intercontinental ballistic missile mission at F.E. Warren Air Force base, including spaces constructed to icd/ics 705 secure area standards, emergency power, high-altitude electromagnetic pulse (HEMP), and chemical, biological, radiological protection measures. Facilities will be designed as permanent construction in accordance with DOD unified facilities criteria, compatible with DOD, Air Force, and base design standards, and will comply with DOD antiterrorism/force protection requirements.

Hensel Phelps Construction Co., Greeley, Colorado, was awarded a $95,333,600 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of the Ground Base Strategic Deterrence Integrated Command Center. Bids were solicited via the internet with two received. Work will be performed at F. E. Warren Air Force Base, with an estimated completion date of Aug. 3, 2026. Fiscal 2023 military construction, Air Force funds in the amount of $79,310,799 were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha, Nebraska, is the contracting activity (W9128F-24-C-0009).
