Government Description
DESIGN-BID-BUILD (DBB) CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT USING FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN AVIATION STORAGE FACILITY FOR USE BY U.S. FORCES LOCATED AT SOTO CANO AIR BASE IN HONDURAS. THE PROJECT INCLUDES THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW FUEL STORAGE FACILITY WITH A MINIMUM CAPACITY OF 300,000 GALLONS, UTILIZING THREE FACTORY-FABRICATED 100,000-GALLON STORAGE TANKS PLACED ON A CURBED FOUNDATION SLAB FOR CONTAINMENT OF SMALL DRIPS AND SPILLS. THE FACILITY WILL FEATURE TWO COMMERCIAL TRUCK OFFLOAD SKIDS FOR SYSTEM REDUNDANCY AND INCREASED FUEL RECEIPT RATES, EACH CAPABLE OF OFFLOADING AT 600 GPM, AS WELL AS TWO TRUCK FILLSTANDS EACH ISSUING FUEL AT 600 GPM. THE PROJECT ALSO REQUIRES A POL OPS BUILDING EQUIPPED WITH A FUEL LABORATORY MEETING C++ SIZING REQUIREMENTS AS OUTLINED IN UFC 4-310-03.
