Government Description
Fabrication and delivery of demopolis lock and coffeeville lock lower miter gates and spare parts, Black Warrior-Tombigbee (BWT) project office, tuscaloosa, AL. The contractor will furnish all supervision, labor, materials, and equipment to fabricate, paint, and deliver the miter gates and parts in accordance with plans and specifications, including two leaves for each set of gates. The demopolis lower miter gates are approximately 60 feet tall and 62 feet wide, weighing about 464,000 lbs. Per leaf, and must be delivered by barge to demopolis lock. The contractor is also responsible for taking ownership of the old gates and hauling them off by barge at the time of delivery of the new gates, with the government handling offloading and loading operations.
