Government Description
US Department Of Agriculture (USDA) Agriculture Research Services (ARS) Research & Development (R&D) center, Design-Bid-Build (DBB) construction. Includes construction of a two-story, approximately 66,000 SF facility at uc davis with administrative, reception, classroom, laboratory, chemical storage, constant temperature storage, support spaces, and mechanical penthouse, as well as supporting site facilities and utilities, storm water drainage and retention, irrigation, paved parking, pedestrian paths, and amenities for bicycles and delivery vehicles. The facility will accommodate ARS staff and support personnel for the Crops Pathology and Genetics Research Unit (CPGRU), National Clonal Germplasm Repository (NCGR), Sustainable Agricultural Water Systems Research Unit (SAWSRU), and the davis-based portion of the Invasive Species Pollinator Health Research Unit (ISPHRU). Optional work includes installation of a 75 kva generator and a 75 kw photovoltaic solar array.
