Government Description
Design-bid-build construction contract for a 281,075 square foot DLA aviation operations center (DSCR) in richmond, VA. The project involves constructing a multi-story office building to accommodate 1,622 employees, including open and individual administrative office and support areas such as mail distribution, packing and shipping spaces, reception, reproduction area, unclassified conference and Video Tele-Conference (VTC) space, law library, kitchenette/break, restrooms, storage, equipment and supply rooms, passenger and service elevators. Additional work includes installation of lightning protection, fire suppression, fire alarm, mass notification systems, Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Energy Management Control System (EMCS), building information systems, emergency generators, site improvements, special foundations, parking, and all necessary supporting facilities. The facility will be constructed in accordance with DOD unified facilities criteria and minimum antiterrorism standards.
