Emsworth locks and dam and dashields locks and dam tow haulage system replacement. The work involves replacing the tow haulage systems at both emsworth and dashields locks and dam with an electrically controlled and electrically actuated counter torque system, which will remain on the same wall as the existing system. The new system will include two multi-layer, single drum winches on opposite ends of each lock, operating in tandem to move barges smoothly and safely through the lock chamber by maintaining constant tension in the cable, ensuring consistent spooling, tracking, and preventing slack fouling issues.
