Title
Minimally Invasive Phosphine Sensors for Storage Containers
Related Solicitation
Abstract
Ballydel Technologies will develop a novel, minimally invasive, and cost-effective sensor technology that efficiently interrogates the interior of red phosphorous munition containers for the presence of phosphine. The approach is passive in nature, withstands the potentially corrosive environment associated with phosphine, and takes up minimal space within a munition container. Commercially scalable manufacturing techniques shall be demonstrated during the Phase II effort.
Research Objective
The goal of phase II is to continue the R&D efforts initiated in Phase I. Funding is based on the results achieved in Phase I and the scientific and technical merit and commercial potential of the project proposed in Phase II. STTRs are completed in conjunction with a research institution.
