Government Description
New follow-on contract effort: the work directives issued hereunder shall involve research and development efforts on various aspects related to survivability, assured mobility, and maneuver support materiel solutions. This includes design, analysis, and testing for the combat capabilities development command ground vehicle systems center (DEVCOM gvsc); development and integration of the Predictive Adaptive Mobility (PAM) program utilizing modeling & simulation and demonstrator vehicles; creation of fire control systems for adaptive armor subsystems; manufacturability and testing of advanced survivability hardware; terramechanics studies and simulation for the defense mobility system; and development of sensor prototypes and processor cards for vehicle protection systems. Tasks also encompass terrain characterization using remote sensing, vehicle-soil interaction studies, noise reduction, power management, unmanned applications, and improvements to vehicle track, suspension, and chassis control systems.
