Government Description
Manufacture of 5.56MM, 7.62MM, and caliber .50 ammunition. This work includes the production of various types of small caliber ammunition such as M855, M855A1, M80, M80A1, M62, M62A1, M33 ball, M17 tracer, M8 api, M20 apit, and M1A1 for the U.S. Army. Ammunition is produced as a second source supplier, geographically separated from the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant (LCAAP), and includes both standard and enhanced performance rounds in multiple packaging configurations. Production is performed in oxford, Mississippi, with finished components restricted to the U.S. And Canada, except for tracer projectiles, incendiary projectiles, and magnesium powder.
