XM1155 sub-caliber technology demonstrator. Supports research and development of sub-caliber artillery long-range projectiles with enhanced lethality, focusing on advanced design technologies for airframes with improved maneuvering capabilities, embedded novel propulsion, and novel material technology for launch survivability. Includes development and demonstration of navigation and control, networking, and payload technologies that enable precision fires at very long ranges for 155 mm projectiles, as well as next-generation fuze technologies addressing miniaturization, reliability, manufacturability, and high 'G' gun launch survival. Additional efforts involve autonomy, guidance, navigation and control, alternative Position Navigation And Timing (PNT) solutions, and adaptation of advanced private sector technologies for military applications.

BAE Systems Land & Armaments L.P., Minneapolis, Minnesota, was awarded a $72,766,538 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to develop and demonstrate navigation and control, networking and payload technologies that enable precision fires at very long ranges for 155 mm projectiles. Bids were solicited via the internet with one received. Work will be performed in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with an estimated completion date of April 27, 2026.
