Abstract
This Phase I Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program will complete all necessary tasks to develop the appropriate documentation to qualify as a source of supply of automatic weapon barrels for aging weapon systems. In Phase I, Proof Research (PROOF) will work to prepare the Source Approval Request for the Engineering Support Activity. In the subsequent Phase SBIR II program, PROOF will manufacture and deliver representative barrels to the Army and work directly with the ESA to conduct the required testing for manufacturing source approval.
Research Objective
The goal of phase I is to establish the technical merit, feasibility, and commercial potential of proposed R&D efforts and determine the quality of performance of the small business awardee organization.
