Government Description
RS-25 production restart to be undertaken by the contractor in support of providing six RS-25 engines modified as necessary for the technical requirements under the Space Launch System (SLS), recertification of production, improvements in manufacturing, and certification for flight program. Additional work includes the production and modification of up to twenty-four RS-25 engines, as well as the manufacturing, machining, assembly, and testing of a wide range of engine components such as bearings, forgings, manifolds, housings, seals, nozzles, injectors, brackets, and tooling. The scope also covers the development and fabrication of specialized parts including bellows, flanges, preburners, impellers, and heat exchangers, along with precision cleaning, pressure testing, and earned value management support. Engineering, planning, and technical support services provided to ensure compliance with technical requirements and to support the overall RS-25 engine production and restart efforts for the SLS program.
