RQ Construction LLC, Carlsbad, California, is awarded a $70,864,328 firm-fixed-price contract for design and construction of P5825 Joint Task Force Barracks at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay. The work to be performed provides for the construction of austere standard design barracks. Primary facilities include living and sleeping quarters, information systems, fire protection and alarm systems, and energy monitoring and control system connection. Work will be performed in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and is expected to be completed by March 2022. Fiscal 2018 military construction, (Army) contract funds in the amount of $70,864,328 are obligated on this award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
