Mar 2026: Global Connections to Employment Inc., an AbilityOne company, Pensacola, Florida, is being awarded $18,019,905 for full food services and mess attendant services in support of Commander, Navy Region Southeast. The services include preparing, serving, and replenishing food; cleaning facilities, equipment, and utensils; preparation of all salads and fruits; and operation of sculleries. The contract includes a one-year base period of performance and four one-year option periods pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation 52.217-9 which, if all options are exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $99,845,457. Work will be performed as follows: full food services at Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Florida (85%); mess attendant services at Naval Construction Battalion Center, Gulfport, Mississippi (10%); and full food services at Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Eglin Air Force Base, Niceville, Florida (5%). Work is expected to be completed by March 2027; if all options are exercised, work will be completed by March 2031. Fiscal 2026 operations and maintenance (Navy) funds in the amount of $18,019,905 will be incrementally funded throughout the period of performance, and funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Option periods will be funded with appropriate fiscal year operation and maintenance (Navy) funds. This contract was solicited as a sole-source requirement pursuant to the authority set force in 41 U.S. Code 8504(a) under the AbilityOne Program with one offer received.
