Title
RACECOM: Resilient Alternate Adaptive Cloud Enabled Communications Architecture for Contested Logistics and Airspace De-confliction.
Abstract
LOGISTICS C3 IMPROVEMENTS: In a contested logistics environment, the U.S. naval forces face unprecedented challenges from state and non-state actors aiming to compromise our ability to communicate and resupply our forces. GreyCliff Industries, Inc. is at the forefront of addressing this critical issue with its proposed solution: Resilient Adaptive Cloud Enabled Modular Communicator for Contested Logistics and Airspace De-confliction (RACECOM). This initiative builds upon GreyCliff s established modular communicator, a device already at MRL 8, with a proven track record of providing BLOS connectivity in challenging environments. With RACECOM, the focus is not just on hardware, but on a comprehensive system for secure and efficient logistics delivery in contested zones. The Phase I program aim is to enhance the modular communicator software and cloud servers, producing an MVP that streamlines the logistics request and delivery process. Integration of an airspace deconfliction capabilities is a significant feature, ensuring safe and conflict-free deliveries. In the Phase II the modular communicator undergoes optimization for Naval utility, with a wearable design for enhanced mobility. Furthermore, the introduction of the Software Defined Radio Module, capable of multiple waveforms, offers enhanced communication security. By the end of program, GreyCliff aims to be capable of Low Rate Initial Production of a wearable modular communications devices and demonstrate their efficacy in real-time logistics request, delivery, and tracking scenarios. In summary, with RACECOM, GreyCliff offers an innovative solution to ensure the U.S. Navy remains resilient in contested logistics environments. It's not just a piece of technology, but a comprehensive system that connects the foundry to the fleet securely and efficiently.
Research Objective
The goal of phase I is to establish the technical merit, feasibility, and commercial potential of proposed R&D efforts and determine the quality of performance of the small business awardee organization.
