Abstract
Every year, the U.S. government (USG) invests billions of dollars into innovative solutions to meet the needs and challenges facing warfighters in today's modern battlefield. To remain competitive, it is essential that military stakeholders and commercial communities of interest have visibility into the capabilities within this broad innovation portfolio; and have the ability to leverage and integrate these capabilities as quickly and securely as possible. SHELDON links large-scale, publicly-available data sets and applies a bottom-up computational approach to generate actionable insights related to U.S. government spending, national security, and supply chain/portfolio management for federal and commercial customers. Specifically, in this effort SHELDON will produce a suite of output, tools, and capabilities that enable stakeholders to rapidly access high-fidelity USG supply chain and related insights to facilitate better, faster, more coordinated, and more informed decision making.
Research Objective
The goal of phase II is to continue the R&D efforts initiated in Phase I. Funding is based on the results achieved in Phase I and the scientific and technical merit and commercial potential of the project proposed in Phase II.
