Government Description
The government requires manufacture, assembly, test and delivery of VLS mcp, status panel, associated MAM kit, OBRP kit, INCO spares kit, depot spares kit, and LRU kit. This work supports the mk 41 Vertical Launching System (VLS) new launcher production program and includes fabrication, assembly, and delivery of the mk 448 Vertical Launch System Motor Control Panel (VLS MCP) and associated components in accordance with the statement of work and technical data package. Deliverables include the motor control panel, status panel, Maintenance Assistance Module (MAM) kit, onboard repair parts (OBRP) kit, installation and checkout (INCO) spares kit, depot spares kit, and Lowest Replaceable Unit (LRU) kit, each containing various modules, assemblies, and components as specified. All products are delivered to the naval surface warfare center, port hueneme division, port hueneme, California.

This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $132,386,790. This contract combines purchases for the U.S. Navy (95.11%) and the governments of Australia (1.77%), Germany (0.83%), Spain (0.81%), Finland (0.76%) and Korea (0.72%) under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program. Work will be performed in Tustin, California, and is expected to be completed by September 2023. If all options are exercised, work will continue through September 2027.
