SGL Composites Inc., Gardena, California, is awarded a $9,343,506 cost-plus-fixed-fee and firm-fixed-price modification to previously awarded contract N0017820C2400 for Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile heatshields and thermal protection system materials and components. Work will be performed in Gardena, California; and is expected to be completed by November 2023. Fiscal 2022 weapons procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $706,089 (7%); and Foreign Military Sales (United Kingdom) funds in the amount of $2,958,218 (32%) will be obligated at time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Fiscal 2022 research, development, test and evaluation (Navy) funds in the amount of $5,653,442 (61%) will be obligated at time of award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
