Apr 2023: Nammo Defense Systems Inc., Mesa, Arizona, is being awarded a $10,646,494 firm-fixed-price contract for the manufacture of JM-60 CKU-5 rocket catapult assembly for use on the advanced concept ejection seat in support of the F-16 aircraft. The contract will include a base with a two-year option, which if exercised, will bring the total value to $19,962,526. All work will be performed in Mesa, Arizona. Work is expected to be completed by June 2026; if the option is exercised, work will be completed by May 2028. Funds in the amount of $10,646,494 will be obligated at time of award. This effort involves funding under the Foreign Military Sales program. Funding sources include fiscal 2020 ammunition procurement (Air Force) funds (25%); Taiwan (13%); Saudi Arabia (13%); Egypt (13%); Greece (10%); Korea (6%); Morocco (5%); Pakistan (3%); Portugal (3%); Slovak Republic (3%); Bulgaria (2%); Chile (2%); Netherlands (1%); and Romania and Poland combined (1%).
