Government Description
Unique surface support equipment (UK). This award includes engineering services to support integration of existing trident II (D5) submarine launched ballistic missiles, including nuclear reentry bodies, into new U.S. And U.K. Submarine classes, as well as support for the completion of submarine designs, construction, and test support. Work also involves engineering services for the design and production of submarine launched ballistic missile servicing support equipment, and the development, production, and integration of specialized simulator test equipment. Tasks performed include the provision and integration of a wide range of support equipment and components such as missile handling fixtures, battery adapters, guidance system storage and handling solutions, pneumatic control assemblies, electrical connectors, monorail and hoisting fixtures, and specialized trays and covers for missile system installation and maintenance.
