Government Description
USS america (LHA 6) FY26 docking selected restricted availability. Includes dry-dock and pier-side maintenance, repair, and alterations, with tasks such as hull structure repairs, propulsion plant maintenance, electric plant inspections and repairs, command and surveillance system updates, auxiliary systems overhauls, preservation of outfit and furnishings, armament repairs, and ship assembly services including temporary air conditioning and hazardous waste control. The scope covers significant modernization across multiple trades, including structural welding, cable pulling, piping, electrical work, and ventilation, and requires an integrated production schedule. Work will be performed on the west coast, with all facility requirements and ship particulars specified for the availability.

General Dynamics NASSCO, San Diego, California, is awarded a $198,955,270 firm-fixed-price contract action for maintenance, modernization, and repair of USS America (LHA 6) Fiscal 2026 Docking Selected Restricted Availability. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $209,233,949. Work will be performed in San Diego, California, and is expected to be completed by July 2027. Fiscal 2025 other procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $181,196,632 (91%); and fiscal 2025 operations and maintenance (Navy) funds in the amount of $17,758,638 (9%), will be obligated at the time of award, of which $17,758,638 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
