PSA for harvey barnum jr. (DDG 124). The Work Consists of Accomplishing A Post Shakedown Availability (PSA) For USS Harvey Barnum Jr. (DDG 124), including correction of government-responsible trial card deficiencies, new work identified between ship custody transfer and the start of the PSA, and incorporation of approved engineering changes not completed during construction. The contractor is expected to provide program management, facilities with appropriate security clearance, dry docking capability, and production resources for marine pre-fabrication, repair, and machining onsite, as well as secure, environmentally controlled areas for combat systems and electronics equipment. Work will be performed in norfolk, VA, and includes support and integration of additional work scope performed by alteration installation teams (AITS) and other outside activities.

BAE Systems Norfolk Ship Repair Inc., Norfolk, Virginia, is awarded a $24,361,392 cost-plus-award-fee contract for the accomplishment of a Post Shakedown Availability for USS Harvey Barnum Jr. (DDG 124), with option for the accomplishment of a PSA for USS Patrick Gallagher (DDG 127). This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $48,722,784. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Virginia, and is expected to be completed by January 2027. If all options are exercised, work will continue through September 2027. Fiscal 2025 shipbuilding and conversion (Navy) funds in the amount of $13,503,570 (59%); fiscal 2016 shipbuilding and conversion (Navy) funds in the amount of $6,606,284 (29%); and fiscal 2024 shipbuilding and conversion (Navy) funds in the amount of $2,710,866 (12%), will be obligated at time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
