Abstract
Vigilant Cyber Systems, Inc. (VCS) proposes to continue its research and development effort of its Automated Mission Readiness Assessment of Shipboard Systems (AMRASS). The AMRASS toolkit is a centralized automated fault monitoring system capable of integrating sensor and fault data across ship systems to provide a holistic view of current faults across various ship systems. This provides watchstander support for fault management, response, and understanding of the impact degraded systems have on mission readiness.AMRASS was designed and partially implemented in Phase I of this SBIR research under USN contract N6833523C0694. The AMRASS toolkit developed during Phase I it captures, filters, and aggregates relevant sensor and fault data, employs ML to assess the state of ship systems, and presents the data in a human-readable and intuitive UX. A simulated testing environment was also created in Phase I for the generation of training data and testing of the developed ML models. Work in Phase II will build on the Phase I effort, resulting in a feature rich AMRASS toolkit.
Research Objective
The goal of phase II is to continue the R&D efforts initiated in Phase I. Funding is based on the results achieved in Phase I and the scientific and technical merit and commercial potential of the project proposed in Phase II.
