Dec 2022: BAE Systems - Norfolk Ship Repair, Norfolk, Virginia, is awarded a $294,786,804 firm-fixed-price contract action for maintenance, modernization and repair of USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) fiscal 2023 docking selected restricted availability. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $340,311,714. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Virginia, and is expected to be completed by November 2024. Fiscal 2023 operations and maintenance (Navy) funds in the amount of $289,402,941 (98.2%); and fiscal 2022 other procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $5,383,863 (1.8%) will be obligated at the time of award, of which $289,402,941 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
