ENGINEERING SERVICES. SUPPORTS THE SHIP SELF DEFENSE SYSTEM (SSDS) TECHNICAL INSERTION 2016 (TI-16) PROGRAM AND INCLUDES THE MANUFACTURE, ASSEMBLY, TESTING, AND DELIVERY OF SSDS TI-16 NETWORK INPUT/OUTPUT UNITS, COMPUTER PROCESSING, STORAGE, AND NETWORKING EQUIPMENT, ANCILLARY EQUIPMENT, AND SPARES. ADDITIONAL WORK INCLUDES UPDATING AND MAINTAINING THE SSDS TI-16 TECHNICAL DATA PACKAGE (TDP), PROVIDING ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR TDP DEVELOPMENT AND UPDATES, AND SUPPORTING PRODUCTION WITH ACTIVITIES SUCH AS CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT, OBSOLESCENCE MANAGEMENT, INTEGRATED LOGISTICS SUPPORT, AND TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION. TASKS ALSO INVOLVE ELECTRO-MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY, METAL FABRICATION, COMPUTER HARDWARE/SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE, TESTING SERVICES, CIRCUIT CARD ASSEMBLIES, ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS, AND DISPLAYS.
