Lockheed Martin Sippican Inc., Marion, Massachusetts, is being awarded a $72,842,012 firm-fixed-price, fixed-price-incentive, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the procurement of MK 48 Mod 7 heavyweight torpedo guidance and control sections, MK 48 Mod 7 Common Broadband Advanced Sonar System upgrade kits, test equipment, spares, production support material, engineering support, and hardware repair support. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract up to $424,687,384 at the maximum stepladder quantities. Work will be performed in Marion, Massachusetts (91 percent); and Santa Barbara, California (9 percent), and is expected to be completed by December 2019. Fiscal 2016 weapons procurement (Navy); and fiscal 2016 weapons procurement (Navy) spares funding in the amount of $68,899,012 will be obligated at time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
