Sep 2016: Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, Moorestown, New Jersey, is being awarded a $157,418,328 cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for the procurement of the DDG 116-118 Aegis follow-on support services representing completion of the development and fielding of the Aegis Baseline 9 Aegis Weapon System and Integrated Aegis Combat System on the remaining Aegis Technical Insertion 12 (TI 12) configured destroyers as well as TI12 and TI08 configured cruisers.  This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $426,003,083.  Work will be performed in Moorestown, New Jersey (95 percent); Johnstown, Pennsylvania (3 percent); and various places below one percent (2 percent), and is expected to be completed by September 2017.  Fiscal 2016 operations and maintenance (Navy); fiscal 2016 research and development test and evaluation (Navy); fiscal 2015 and 2016 other procurement (Navy); and fiscal 2013 shipbuilding and conversion (Navy) funding in the amount of $81,165,695 will be obligated at time of award.  Contract funds in the amount of $4,833,928 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was not competitively procured in accordance with 10 U.S. Code 2304(c)(1) - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.  The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, District of Columbia, is the contracting activity (N00024-16-C-5102).
