General Electric Aviation, Lynn, Massachusetts, is awarded a $683,716,135 firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the production and delivery of 169 T408-GE-400 (T408) turboshaft engines, to include 65 full rate production Lot 8 (54: Navy, 11: government of Israel); 51 full rate production Lot 7 (39: Navy, 12: government of Israel); and 53 low rate initial production Lot 6 (36: Navy, 17: government of Israel) in support of CH-53K production helicopter and spare engine inventory. Additionally, this contract provides associated engine, programmatic, and logistics support, as well as cost reduction initiatives. Work will be performed in Lynn, Massachusetts, and is expected to be completed in June 2027. Fiscal 2023 aircraft procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $172,954,622; fiscal 2022 aircraft procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $162,223,977; fiscal 2021 aircraft procurement funds in the amount of $11,629,534; and Foreign Military Sales customer funds in the amount of $153,746,944 will be obligated at the time of award, $11,629,534 of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
