DOD Announcements
May 2022:
Lockheed Martin Corp., Fort Worth, Texas is awarded a $26,887,886 cost-plus-fixed-fee order (N0001922F1020) against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (N0001919G0008). This order provides non-recurring engineering for modification efforts to the existing F-35 pilot training device, specifically the mission rehearsal trainer, as well as and the initial production-quality deliveries. Work will be performed in Orlando, Florida (79%); Fort Worth, Texas (14%); and Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada (7%); and is expected to be completed in June 2024. Fiscal 2022 aircraft procurement (Air Force) funds in the amount of $13,443,943 will be obligated at the time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
Sep 2023: Lockheed Martin Corp., Fort Worth, Texas, is awarded a $32,342,466 modification (P00005) to a cost-plus-fixed-fee order (N0001922F1020) against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (N0001914G0008). This modification definitizes the order and adds scope to procure and deliver six Modified Mission Rehearsal Trainer simulators for the Air Force, to include associated studies and analysis support, initial spares, and hardware in support of the F-35 pilot training program. Additionally, this modification procures 90 Full Mission Simulator server modification kits, to include 50 for the Air Force, 30 for the Marine Corps, and 10 for the Navy. These efforts are in support of increasing additional training capabilities in the form of a smaller footprint F35 pilot training devices to meet growing training requirements. Work will be performed in Orlando, Florida (91%); and Fort Worth, Texas (9%), and is expected to be completed in August 2026. Fiscal 2022 aircraft procurement (Air Force) funds in the amount of $18,822,218; fiscal 2021 aircraft procurement (Air Force) funds in the amount of $7,852,227; and fiscal 2021 aircraft procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $5,668,001 will be obligated at the time of award, $13,520,228 of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
Dec 2023: Lockheed Martin Corp., Fort Worth, Texas, is awarded a $12,980,062 modification (P00006) to cost-plus-fixed-fee order (N0001922F1020) against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (N0001919G0008). This modification exercises options for the production and delivery of four Modified Mission Rehearsal Trainer kits, to include associated site readiness and survey requirements in support of providing a smaller footprint of the existing F-35 Pilot Training Device (PTD), additional training capabilities allowing the Air Force to train a greater number of pilots at any given time to meet its growing F-35 pilot training requirements, more sorties flown in a PTD rather than the F-35 airframe, and interoperability with other PTDs. Work will be performed in Orlando, Florida (91%); and Fort Worth, Texas (9%), and is expected to be completed in August 2026. Fiscal 2022 aircraft procurement (Air Force) funds in the amount of $12,980,062 will be obligated at the time of award, all of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
